Grey Worm lives!! Missandei cries at his bedside, waiting for him to wake. Daenerys mourns Ser Berristan. She decides the best punishment for the Sons of the Harpy attack is rounding up the leaders of the great families of Mereen and push them toward her dragons. (It’s not exactly clear why, but it’s implied that the Mereen families are behind the attacks.) One man is set on fire, torn in half and shared by the two beasts.
Sam reports about Kalheesei to Maester Aemon (someone is again spying on her). Aemon says she is a Targaryen alone in the wild (so is he). Then Jon has a word with the Maester about a decision that will tear apart the nights watch. Aemon advises “Kill the boy, Jon snow. Winter is almost upon us. Kill the boy and let the man be born.” Next Jon talks to Tormund. Jon offers safety for the Wildlings on the other side of the wall in return for fighters when they are attacked by White Walkers during winter. Jon argues it’s to make peace to save his people. Jon lends a few of Stannis’ ships. Tormund negotiates for Jon to go to convince the Wildlings himself. In the dining hall, Jon argues for rescue of the Wildlings despite opposition and thousands of years of killing on both sides. It comes down to the fact that dead Wildlings will be in the army of White Walkers if nothing is done. Grey Worm lives!! Missandei cries at his bedside, waiting for him to wake. Brienne and Pod have arrived near Winterfell. Brienne tries to get a message to Sansa. In the castle, Ramsay entertains his side piece, Myranda, saying that he will always have her in spite of his marriage to Sansa. Sansa gets message for when she’s in trouble, to light a candle in the highest tower, the same where Bran fell. Sansa meets Myranda at the tower and Myranda shows Sansa the kennels where Reek sleeps. Sansa is horrified, but is not compassionate because she still thinks he killed her younger brothers, Bran and Rickon. Ramsay forgives Reek for being seen by Sansa. At dinner, Sansa is not having it from Lady Bolton, who asks how she is finding this “new” place. Reek apologizes to Sansa for what Theon did. Lord Bolton then announces he is expecting a son. Ramsay is jealous that this new son will out rank him. Bolton assures Ramsay of his position and invites him to fight Stannis.
Back at Castle Black, Sam and Gilly speak on education. Gilly never feels good or worldly enough. Stannis comes to the library. Sam tells stories of his experience with White Walkers. Stannis wants to know how to defeat them and tasks Sam to do more research. Stannis summons Davos to march to Winterfell the next day.

Grey Worm wakes up and Missandei is there for him. He is ashamed he failed the crown. He confesses he didn’t want to didn’t want to fail Missandei. Dany asks Missandei for advice. She says only that when Dany has two choices she always chooses a third option no one has thought about. To this end, Dany visits Hizdah zo Loraq, her former counsel member and a leader of one of the high born families of Mereen, whom she almost fed to her dragons, and tells him they are to be married. Shocking!
Tyrion and Jorah are still in the boat. Tyrion asks to stop for wine. He is trying to get Jorah to talk. They arrive upon the Smoking Sea, near the abandoned city of Valyria, the ancestral home of the Targaryens. They see the majestic Drogon the dragon flying overhead. They are immediately attacked by stone men, who were sent to the abandoned city because of their affliction with gray scale. Tyrion almost drowns trying to escape, Jorah saves him, but he was touched. Tyrion doesn’t know! Danger!

Tune in next week when Sansa marries Ramsay!
