In the past, we’ve made jokes about real life getting in the way of our reading time. The reality of it has finally caught up with us. We’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to those authors who have submitted requests for us to review your books and we just haven’t gotten to them yet.
You’ll notice that we’ve added a few guest reviewers to 80 Books Blog, which will allow us to provide you with more content in addition to reviews, but also so we can catch up with the reviews we have already on our plates. You’ll be seeing more from them going forward. If you’re interested in joining us, click here to find out how. Here’s a little background on our newest bloggers:
Samya – I’m a traveler who’s been everywhere and nowhere all at once, to galaxies and times that exist or are yet to. My letter to Hogwarts got lost in the mail. Drat muggle post! I’m in love with downloading ebooks. If it’s on ebook and popular/unpopular then I probably have it and don’t know it. Is there such a thing as having too many books? I’d probably read just about anything as long as it’s interesting (I have to have standards you know, otherwise the books will think I’m cheap ). I’m a sucker for romance novels with awesome dialogues. I adore reading books that have movies based on them, although it makes watching the movie slightly hard… I’m a literary polyandrist and proud!

Salama – Ok… Ummm I think am addicted to books… Actually, I am, what with the numerous ebook readers I have and the fact that I sometimes go days without sleep reading the really good books I can’t let go of. I have a weakness for heroines with spines of steel and dashing heroes, and that’s probably why urban fantasy, paranormal, mystery, comedy and adventure are my favorite genres. I attract more than my fair share of weird looks when I read because I find myself snickering with the characters more often than not. I can’t bring myself to delete an ebook whether it’s good (because I will most certainly reread it) or bland (in the hopes that I will one day find it within myself to read it). I am on Goodreads and Instagram.

Liberty – I am a bibliophile who would like nothing better than to lay in bed reading all day and night for the rest of my life, if it weren’t for that pesky desire to travel the world and experience my own adventures. I read, YA, middle-grade, sci-fi, fantasy, thriller, mystery, chick lit, comics, historical fiction, and I really love books that contain multiple genres. You can find me on Goodreads, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, and my blog.
For now, enjoy this slideshow of gorgeousness to make us all feel better! What? Some of them play literary heroes. Totally appropriate. 😉
