Remember LiveJournal?
Man, I lived on LiveJournal. It was the fandom hub for a long time. It’s where I got my Harry Potter fan art and fan fiction fix in between each book, and then after Deathly Hallows when I couldn’t let go and I needed to fill in those 19 years.
I created an account (which I still have) just to be able to read every fic I could find. I’m totally a canon shipper, though more Harry/Ginny than Ron/Hermione. Forgive me if I never obsessed over Hermione. And personally, I don’t think she was a good fit for either boy. Too much mother hen in her.
Back to LiveJournal. I miss the community, even if I was only mostly a lurker. Last time I logged on, many of the accounts I once followed are gone, which makes it harder to find amazing fan art.
Where are all the Potter fan creators hiding these days??
Luckily, two of my favorites were still around: corkart and mudblood428. Neither have updated in a while, but all or most of their amazing fan art is still there.
Need proof of how phenomenal they each are?
Check out this sketch from mudblood428 of a scene from Chamber of Secrets at the Burrow, when little Ginny puts her elbow in the butter dish. So cute!

And there’s this scene by corkart from Deathly Hallows, Ginny’s “something to remember me by.”

Told you I was a canon shipper.
Tumblr seems the place now to find fan art. I absolutely love the race bent and gender bent Potter art!
