Let’s just get right into it…
This book is intense! And filthy. So beautifully filthy. The same unique blend of sex, blood, and poetry of the previous books in the Keeper series, but with a new urgency as Juma and Dutch know their final confrontation with The Gate and The Dark Mistress are upon them. And the intensity — in battle and in bed— increases with every life Juma loses.
This book moves fast, but maybe a little too fast. Some major deaths seem to go by in a blink. The limited page time for The Mistress was felt as well. But, the narrative slows down when it matters most, and that’s with Dutch and Juma and their love. At the heart of the story is always Dutch and Juma’s bond, which leads to a moving ending.
Death is a curious puzzle of violence and an all-consuming, breath-taking love story that only Madhuri Pavamani and her skill at verse/prose combo could make fit together.
Synopsis:
DEATH is the third book in The Keeper Series and concludes the thrilling, sexy urban fantasy saga that began with DUTCH.
I am Death. I run this show. I have many at my command, people love and fear me in equal measure.
But I am almost out of time.
Juma Landry and Dutch Mathew have a love that is strong and sharp, wild and soothing. They would go to the ends of the earth—and beyond—to save each other from the hell of this world. To put a smile on each others’ face day after day. But danger is coming, dark forces that will push Juma to her capacity, evil that will rip away her lives.

I know Dutch can’t bear to lose this woman—the darkness that always lives inside him will swallow him whole. But I’ve got plans for Juma. She’s always been my favorite, my sweet, my beautiful, my light. And now, I need her more than ever, one last time…
Tqwana!!! Thank you for this review. And for taking the time to read my books that no one else reads. You have supported me from day one on this journey with Dutch and Juma and for that I am so thankful. I’m sad to say bye to them, but feel like I gave them a nice going away party. Now…onto the next project. xx, Madhuri

I’m ready for whatever you send out into the world. And I hope my little review sends the attention your way that you deserve. I already miss Dutch and Juma. I may have teared up a bit…

I love readers’ tears…
Admittedly, I always cry when I read that scene between Juma and Kash at the end. And Kash, Dutch, and Avery. Gah! Every Kash scene. He’s loosely based on my favorite uncle and holds a tender spot in my cold writer’s heart.
